The terms we sell on. Everything we make is machined to sizes you supply, which shapes most of what follows — particularly who is responsible for dimensions, and what can and cannot be changed once a job is cut.
Zauber Woodworks sells only to the trade — cabinet shops, millwork companies, closet companies, remodelers, contractors and refacers. We do not sell to homeowners or to the public, and we do not sell directly to your customers.
Opening a trade account requires a business name and, where applicable, a valid resale certificate. Accounts are for the business named on them; you are responsible for anyone ordering under your sign-in.
Prices shown before an order is confirmed are quotations, not invoices. A quotation is valid for 30 days unless we say otherwise, and remains subject to our review of the order before it enters production.
An order is accepted when we confirm it. We may decline or ask for clarification on any order — most often where dimensions look inconsistent, a profile is not one we route, or a note conflicts with the sizes given.
Pricing is by square foot, on a volume scale set by the true size of the order, and varies by material. Finishing and glass options carry the additional charges shown in the door app.
There is a minimum order of $175.00 on the goods themselves. Delivery, where it applies, is charged on top and is never counted towards the minimum.
All prices exclude sales tax. Trade sales for resale are exempt; you are responsible for holding a valid resale certificate and for any tax due on your own onward sale.
We may change prices at any time. A change never affects an order already confirmed.
This is the most important term on this page. We machine to the sizes you give us. Every door, drawer front and panel is cut to your dimensions, so:
If you are unsure, ask before you order. We would far rather answer a question than remake a run.
Doors are machined from a single sheet rather than assembled from rails, stiles and a centre panel. Available materials, profiles, recesses and finishes are those shown in the door app at the time of ordering.
Sanded means paint-ready, not finished. Primed means ready for topcoat. We do not apply finish coats. Preparation, sealing and finishing are yours, and we are not responsible for the appearance or durability of a finish applied after the goods leave us.
Wood-based panel products move with moisture. HDF is not waterproof, and is not suitable for continuously wet locations or for exterior use.
Typical production is three to five business days from order confirmation, and rush service is sometimes available when scheduling allows. Lead times are estimates, not guarantees, and we are not liable for losses caused by a delay — including site delays, installation costs or penalties under your own contract.
Unless we have agreed terms in writing, invoices are due on receipt. We accept the payment methods shown on the invoice.
Goods remain our property until the invoice is paid in full. We may hold or refuse to release an order where an earlier invoice on the account is overdue.
Pickup from our shop at 11 Precision Rd, Danbury, CT is free, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
We deliver within approximately one hour of Danbury. Delivery is charged by order size, as shown at the time of ordering, and smaller orders are pickup only.
Risk passes to you on collection or on delivery. Delivery is kerbside or to an agreed point on site; we do not carry goods into a building, and we do not install.
Please arrange collection promptly. We have limited space and cannot store finished orders indefinitely.
Tell us as soon as possible. Before machining begins we can usually change or cancel an order at no cost. Once machining has begun, material and labour already committed are chargeable, and once a piece is cut to your sizes it cannot be cancelled.
Please inspect your order on collection or delivery. Claims for shortage, damage in transit, or pieces that do not match your order must reach us within five business days. See our Refund Policy for how claims are handled.
We warrant that goods will match the specification and dimensions of your confirmed order and will be free from manufacturing defects. That warranty is the whole of our liability for the goods, and our remedy is to remake or credit the affected pieces at our option.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost contracts, site costs, installation or removal labour, or delay penalties.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Drawings and lists you send remain yours; you grant us the right to use them to produce your order. Our profile designs, drawings, photographs and website content remain ours.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, and the courts of Connecticut have exclusive jurisdiction.
If any term is found unenforceable the rest continue to apply. These terms, together with your confirmed order, are the whole agreement between us.
We would rather answer a question before an order than sort it out afterwards. Call the shop or send us an email.
